This program introduces students to careers across the emergency response field, including firefighter, police officer, 911 dispatcher, emergency medical responder, and emergency medical technician. Professionals in these roles are often the first on the scene during crises, providing critical assistance in situations such as fires, motor vehicle accidents, crime scenes, and medical emergencies. The First Responder program emphasizes the knowledge and skills required for effective emergency medical care. Throughout the program, students develop the ability to assess emergencies, deliver patient care, and work collaboratively with other
public safety personnel. In the final year, students will have the opportunity to earn Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification, preparing them for entry-level employment or further specialized training in emergency services.
