Therapeutic Science and Sports Medicine is a program designed to educate students on the theories
of injury prevention, recognition, and emergency care as well as health and wellness. This technical program will include theory and hands on application related to anatomy, physiology, therapeutic exercise, restorative care, strength and conditioning, injury recognition, injury management, weight management and nutrition. Students will learn to design exercise programs, nutrition plans, injury preventative plans, and injury recovery plans that promote overall mental and physical health and wellness. Students will leave the program prepared for employment in settings that include fitness clubs, assisted care facilities, and wellness programs. Students who wish to pursue an advanced degree will have a strong foundation to enter post-secondary programs in the fields of exercise science, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and athletic training.
