Students must have a valid license in the category in which certification is sought. Additional endorsements include motorcycle (Category 2) and medium/heavy trucks (Category 3).

    This program is for those who seek a re-certification from PA Department of Transportation as an inspection mechanic. Will join an existing state inspection class for the first two nights During this time the student will be given a refresher and shown all new updates.  At the end of second night instructor will guide the student through the online enrollment process and show you how to take the online test. Students must have a current state inspection license, current driver’s license and students must bring a valid credit card for online payment. This course is offered once a month pending adequate class enrollment

    This program is for those who seek emissions a re-certification from PA Department of Transportation as an emissions inspection mechanic. This course is offered once a month pending adequate class enrollment. Students must have a current driver’s license and emission license. Students can recertify up to 6 months before expiration. Students are only required to attend the FOURTH night of class.

    6/25/2018-7/17/2018 Monday-Thursday 8:30 am – 2:30 pm
    Students will receive class theory and hands-on training in the following areas: Brake rotor/drum resurfacing and critical measurements, introduction to anti-lock brake systems and diagnostic procedures, intro to specialty measurement tools, diagnostic hand-held scanners as well as computerized engine control system and electronic and computerized ignition systems will be covered.

    Ongoing Enrollment – Mondays and Tuesdays 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
    The curriculum and labs incorporate food safety (including ServSafe Certification) and sanitation, knife skills, nutrition, cooking techniques, stocks, sauces, soups, meat, poultry, fish dairy, pasta, vegetables, fruits, gardemanager, herbs and dining room management, marketing, and menu preparation as well as the elements of restaurant practices. These classes will be taught in specific modules or as a complete package. Enrollment in this program includes the baking and pastry arts section that is described below.  Students who have completed the Baking and Pastry Arts class may enroll in the Comprehensive Culinary Program.  Please call the Adult Education office to disucss.

    This course is to help the student understand the basic fundamentals of baking and pastry arts. The topics that we cover are quick breads, puddings, dessert sauces, meringues, mousses, fruit desserts, pizza and cookies, just to name a few. At the completion of this course the student will be prepared to use these skills in a food production establishment.  This class may be taken on its own or as part of the Comprehensive Culinary Program described above.  Please call the Adult Education office for more information.

    By successfully completing the following four classes in our Health and Medical Field: Nurse Aide, Office Medical Terminology, EKG Technician and Phlebotomy Technician, you can earn the title of Patient Care Technician.     This comprehensive course is designed for the serious student interested in the field of electrocardiography. Instruction includes anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, electro-physiology of the conduction system, and basic EKG understanding. Students who successfully complete the course will be eligible to take the National EKG exam. The cost for exam is extra.

    Course curriculum involves theory and hands-on lab which includes vein puncture on lab partners as well as extended anatomy and physiology related to phlebotomy. Students are prepared for employment in a variety of medical settings. Students who successfully complete the course may be eligible to take the national test given by the National Healthcare Association.
