      10/6/2025-12/17/2025 Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
      Students will receive class theory and hands-on training in the following areas: Brake rotor/drum resurfacing and critical measurements, introduction to anti-lock brake systems and diagnostic procedures, intro to specialty measurement tools, diagnostic hand-held scanners as well as computerized engine control system and electronic and computerized ignition systems will be covered.

       

      0208 PA Motor Vehicle Safety Inspection

      Requirement: Tuition paid in full at registration. Please specify the month you are interested in at time of registration.
      This program is for those who seek certification from PA Department of Transportation as an inspection mechanic. This course is offered once a month pending adequate class enrollment. Students must have a valid license in the category in which certification is sought.


      0208 PA Motor Vehicle Safety Inspection - RECERTIFICATION

      Tuition: $100.00 AND $89.99 for the baseline online test and 1 category.  Additional category is $9.99
      Monthly Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
      Requirement: Tuition paid in full at registration.  
      This program is for those who seek a re-certification from PA Department of Transportation as an inspection mechanic. Will join an existing state inspection class for the first two nights. During this time the student will be given a refresher and shown all new updates.  At the end of second night instructor will guide the student through the online enrollment process and show you how to take the online test. Students must have a current state inspection license, current driver’s license and students must bring a valid credit card for online payment. This course is offered once a month pending adequate class enrollment.

       

      0206 PA Motor Vehicle Emissions Inspection

      Tuition: $180.00  AND $39.99 FOR THE ONLINE TEST
      Monthly Mondays and Wednesdays 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
      Requirement: Tuition paid in full at registration.  
      This program is for those who seek emissions certification from PA Department of Transportation as an emissions inspection mechanic. This course is offered once a month pending adequate class enrollment. Students must have a valid driver’s license.

       

      0206 PA Motor Vehicle Emissions Inspection- RECERTIFICATION

      Tuition: $100.00 AND $79.99 FOR THE ONLINE TEST
      Monthly on third night of class 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
      Requirement: Tuition paid in full at registration.  
      Will join an existing emission class for the first 2 nights. During this time the student will be given a refresher and shown the updates . At the end of the second night the instructor will guide the student through the online enrollment process and show you how to take the online test.       The curriculum and labs incorporate food safety and sanitation, knife skills, nutrition, cooking techniques, stocks, sauces, soups, meat, poultry, fish, dairy, pasta, vegetables, fruits, gardemanager, herbs and dining room management, marketing, and menu preparation as well as the elements of restaurant practices.

      This is the complete certification training course designed by the National Restaurant Association and is the only certificate recognized by the state of Pennsylvania to conform to this standard.

      The GED Preparation class is an individual course that is tailored to the specific needs of each student. After a pre-test given on the first two nights, students are placed into an educational program based upon the placement testing.

      Discover the trade secrets that will allow you to tune-up or repair small 2 and 4 cycle engines. Lawn mowers, chain saws, weed eaters, and other small gasoline powered equipment will be repaired during class time. Bring your problem machines with you.

      Patient Care Technician Program
      By successfully completing the following four classes in our Health and Medical Field: Nurse Aide, Office Medical Terminology, EKG Technician and Phlebotomy Technician, students earn the title of Patient Care Technician.       This comprehensive course is designed for the serious student interested in the field of electrocardiography. Instruction includes anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, electro-physiology of the conduction system, and basic EKG understanding. Students who successfully complete the course may be eligible to take the national test given by the National Healthcare Association.  The cost for the exam is extra. 

       

      1407 Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Must Register In-Person

      The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program will prepare students to provide out of hospital emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients. EMTs have the basic knowledge and skills necessary to stabilize and safely transport patients ranging from non-emergency and routine medical transports to life threatening emergencies. EMTs function as part of a comprehensive EMS response system, under medical oversight. Emergency Medical Technicians perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance. Emergency Medical Technicians are a critical link between the scene of an emergency and the health care system.  At the successful completion of the EMT program, students are qualified to sit for their National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification (Cost not included in class).

      In this course students will learn to provide assistance with specific examinations, specialty examinations and procedures, and basic laboratory analysis such as urinalysis, urine pregnancy test, capillary punctures, hematology, blood chemistry and serology, medical microbiology, and throat cultures.

      1401 Nurse Aide - Must Register In-Person

      10/1/2025-1/8/2026 Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm Some daytime Saturdays
      Successful completion of this class will allow students to take their state exam and become certified by the state of Pennsylvania thereby receiving the title Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).  Students who obtain employment as a certified Nurse Aide may be entitled to receive 100% reimbursement of tuition fees, material fees and cost of textbook.   Students may also be eligible to receive 100% reimbursement of the testing fees paid.  Some restrictions apply.  Please call 570-629-2001 ext. 1125 for more information and for specific admission requirements.

       

      1402 Pharmacy Technician

      1403 Phlebotomy Technician

      10/6/2025-2/11/2026 Mondays and Wednesdays 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
      Course curriculum involves theory and hands-on lab which includes vein puncture on lab partners as well as extended anatomy and physiology related to phlebotomy. Students are prepared for employment in a variety of medical settings. Students who successfully complete the course may be eligible to take the national test given by the National Healthcare Association. The cost for the exam is extra.

      1103 HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) - Currently Waitlisted

      CALL FOR INFORMATION 
      Students will learn the background and history of the HVAC/R industry, physical and chemical properties of materials, terminologies in energies (heating, cooling, thermal dynamics, electrical and light), refrigerant cycle, refrigerants and refrigeration systems, HVAC/R toolbox, and HVAC/R measuring devices. Brazing, charging techniques, recovery and evacuation and safety procedures will be taught. Students will also learn the proper use of a four-valve refrigerant manifold, the maintenance and proper use of a vacuum pump system, the practice of refrigerant and copper tubing braising with oxyacetylene torch, and destructive joint testing and inspection. Students will also receive hands-on practice using high-pressure nitrogen cylinders, various regulators (pressure and purge), proper use of the nitrogen system in HVAC/R technology and other HVAC/R methods. EPA 608 Universal Training included.


       
      WELDING

      2150 Shielded Metal Arc Welding I

      9/9/2025-10/7/2025 Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm 
      This class teaches basic “stick” welding for the beginner or for those wishing to refresh their skills. Students will receive instruction in preparing steel for welding using oxyacetylene cutting equipment, high speed grinders, and power wire brushes. Using 7018 and 6010 electrodes, students will also receive instruction in preparing and welding fillet and groove welds on steel plate in the flat and horizontal position. Students are required to purchase their own welding hood, gloves, safety glasses, and all leather work boots. Students must use safety glasses, welding hood and gloves.

       

      2151 Shielded Metal Arc Welding II

      This course is designed for those who have the Level I course or for those with professional work experience. Students will receive welding instruction in vertical and overhead positions using electrodes on fillet and groove welds on steel plate. Students are required to purchase their own welding hood, gloves, safety glasses, and all leather work boots. Students must use safety glasses, welding hood and gloves.


      2152 Gas Metal Arc Welding (M.I.G.)
      8 Sessions

      11/6/2025-12/4/2025 Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm 
      Students will receive instruction in basic MIG welding principles and practices, including common operational troubleshooting. Students will perform fillet and groove welds on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in all positions. Principles and practices of plasma-arc cutting will also be covered. Students are required to purchase their own welding hood, gloves, safety glasses, and all leather work boots. Students must use safety glasses, welding hood, and gloves.

       

      2153 Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (T.I.G.)

      12/9/2025-1/13/2026 Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm 
      Students receive instruction in basic TIG welding principles and practices, including common operational troubleshooting. Students will perform fillet and groove welds on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in all positions. Principles and practices of plasma-arc cutting are covered.       2154-1 Welding Certification Workshop & Test

      Additional cost: $80.00 material and test fee for the WTTI
      1/19/2026-1/2/2026 Monday - Thursday 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm 
      MCTI is a remote testing site for the American Welding Society through Welders Testing and Training Institute of Allentown, PA. We offer the opportunity to take certification plate testing in S.M.A.W., G.M.A.W., G.T.A.W., and F.C.A.W. This will be offered only once per semester. Test materials are an additional cost. . Class size is limited to seven (7) participants. Students are required to purchase their own welding hood, gloves, safety glasses, and all leather work boots. Students must use safety glasses, welding hood, and gloves. Test is given on final evening.
