Do you have an interest in refinishing cars or trucks? Have you ever wanted to learn to detail or repaint a car? The Automotive Collision Repair Program at Monroe Career & Technical Institute (MCTI) may be for you. My name is Brian Gebhardt and I am the Automotive Collision Repair Instructor at Monroe Career and Technical Institute On behalf of myself and MCTI I would like to extend a welcome to all perspective students.
The job of a collision repair technician is to repair damaged vehicles to a "pre-accident" condition. The Automotive Collision Repair Program at MCTI provides hands on training on school and customer-owned vehicles plus classroom theory are part of the program's instruction. Students will learn how to repair damaged vehicles including repairing and replacing panels, working different types of automotive finishes, special alloy steels, and plastics all while preparing for an entry level position in the field. The Automotive Collision Repair lab is equipped to industry standards. This gives the student a clean environment for learning and instructs the student in the safe use of hand and power tools, as well as the use of the latest equipment in the collision repair industry.Class of 2015
